Let’s Play Hello! Morning Bingo!

Filed in Cult Of Pop 2.0

As most of your probably know, some of the good folks at MM-BBS have been providing subtitles for each week’s new episode of Hello! Morning for the past few months. It’s a great service to non-Japanese speaking fans such as myself (and helps delay the time when I need to learn the language, at least ’til the baby arrives).

But as I was thinking of Hello! Project’s TV show recently, I was thinking, “Why can’t we play Bingo at the same time?”

Yes, I know I know… You’ve all been trying to tell me the same thing since I first started this blog.

So now… heeeeeeere’s Hello! Morning Bingo!

The rules are simple:

  • Print up a randomly generated Hello! Morning Bingo card. Or if you’re hardcore like a Grandmother on church gambling night, print multiple copies.
  • Play a recent episode of Hello! Morning.
  • Any time the information on a square corresponds to what you see on the show, place an X over that square.
  • Center square is free – and in the case of Hello! Morning Bingo, adorable.
  • When you have X’d out a line of five squares across, up-and-down, or diagonally, yell “Sekushii Biiimuuu!” and make sure to do the nipple laser move.
  • If you’re playing against others, first person to complete a line wins. If you’re playing alone, bask in the satisfaction of a job well done.
  • If no one wins by the end of an episode (which can happen), continue play with a different episode.
  • Void where prohibited by law.

As always, the generator has only been tested by me as of this posting and could stand to be more robust – but I think it’s ready for gameplay. And if you decide to gamble with this, I don’t know nothin’ about nothin’.

So enjoy!

I think it’s a bit too tough to win with just one episode. Here are my suggestions (they may be in there already, I only refreshed a few times):

    Konno talks about food
The host gets made fun of
    Rika uses a stupid prop/gag
A past Hello Pro News/Wide/Hour/Kamezou personality (ie: Charmy, Ojamarushe) is mentioned

  2. Great suggestions, Alice – I’ll be adding them to the generator. I’m also thinking of varying the frequency of certain kinds of squares and increasing the frequency of others…

Does anyone else have any suggestions?
