15 days to go!

Today I’m going to cover what truly started my Miyabi fandom. Back in October of 2007, I was driving somewhere with my brother and he played Berryz Koubou’s “Munasawagi Scarlet” for me. He spent his time gushing over Risako and how awesome she sounded with her “Yes my love” lines.

I, on the other hand, was immediately drawn to Miyabi’s voice, particularly during her final solo line “Sotto chikazukitai”. This was before watching the PV and realizing that she also happened to be “one of the Aa! girls”. I had watched Miyabi in the Winter 2007 Wonderful Hearts Concert, and loved her performance in ‘Hare Ame Nochi Suki’, but I hadn’t really followed her.

After that, I very quickly started looking up all the information I could find out about the wonderful Miyabi and I haven’t turned back.*

Miyabi is awesome in “Munasawagi Scarlet”, and while it isn’t my favourite Berryz song, it’s pretty close to the top and it will also hold a special place for me, for it was where I truly first noticed Miya.

Personally, this isn’t my favourite Miyabi PV. I like her hair longer, but I love her dancing here. I just checked her wiki.theppn page the other day and some new trivia has been added… One point listed is:

That definitely surprised me. While she doesn’t reach Captain’s level of dancing ability, I love watching Miyabi dance. She has a style that captivates me when she dances. It’s particularly evident within Buono! PVs, where I find she truly gets into the character of the group. I think it’s pretty obvious that Miya puts a lot of hard work to get her dancing down, because by the time we see the final product in PVs and concerts, I wouldn’t be able to guess that learning a particular dance would have driven her to tears.

So, anyway, on we go with the Miyabi pic spam again. And in tribute to Miya’s dancing abilities, I added the dance shot of the PV. This weird dance and leg kicks have grown on me since the first time I watched this dance…

They all look amusingly curious here… XD

Aww… Miya’s so helpful… Looks like she’s enjoying herself as she applies lip gloss to her Captain.

Heh… Now it’s Risako’s turn! … Interesting, another of the new trivia facts for Miya on wiki.theppn is that she’s closest to Captain and Risako in Berryz…

What’s up with half of the screen being out of focus? I don’t get that with these green background shots…

*I was checking my original Berryz Koubou ranking on my main blog, and I realized that I messed up my breakdown of Berryz songs that I liked before I REALLY got into them… I listed “Munasawagi Scarlet” as one of those songs, but it was actually released during my H!P break… So I didn’t really listen to it until October 2007 - almost a year after it was released.
