AHH!!! Masayume Live!!!! YAY!
A few days ago, zush shared some audio files of Risako from her solo event on June 5th. After reading that post, I went to see if I could find a recording of Miyabi’s solo event from June 6th, and lo-and-behold, a link to a fan recording was available on the JPH!P forums.
I really was hoping that there would be a recording available, because I had read that one of the songs Miya performed was ‘Masayume’ - the b-side to Aa!’s ‘FIRST KISS’. I absolutely adore that song, and have never heard it live. To get a recording of Miya performing it solo was just… WOW! ^_^ (And don’t mind the random pics I’m sticking in… I just felt like some Miya eyecandy)

That link to JPH!P I shared has the entire event recorded, but for those of you who just want to hear the songs, I have cut out the 3 songs she performed and have them ready for your listening pleasure. It’s not the greatest quality recording, obviously, but you can hear Miya quite clearly. Hope you enjoy the audio! To listen you can click on the link, or you can wait a bit (depending on your connection speed), and eventually a little triangle will appear next to the song title (much like the play button next to ‘Last Forever’ on the sidebar) and you can play it without clicking out from this page.
1. Souda! We’re ALIVE
I do wish the fans weren’t clapping through this song, but you can still hear Miya. I was wondering how Miya would do with this Morning Musume song, but it was pretty decent. However, I think this song is made for a group, what with all the chanting of “doryoku mirai A BEAUTIFUL STAR…”, “BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM….” and “YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH…”s. It slipped my mind that this was Miya’s H!P audition song, but Julia just reminded me. XD What would you say? Has she improved? ^_^

2. Masayume
Seeing as Aa! was a one-shot group, I never thought I’d get to hear Masayume performed live (I really do wish a video recording of this event is released on some FC DVD at some point). I love this song so much! The melody and instrumental is just so relaxing. Much like ‘FIRST KISS’ Miya was underused in the Aa!’s b-side, but I really enjoyed her performance here.
3. Piriri to Yukou!
Okay… I’m not quite sure what happened at the start of the song, but Miya was really flat when she came in. However, it didn’t last too long and she soon pulled herself back into the right pitch. I’d have to say that this song was the weakest of the three she performed… She even skipped a line. I’d love to see a live of this… Was she distracted by something, did she have a random brain fart? Maybe all the talking from the event threw her pitch off… Maybe she needed a drink of water. Who knows? XD
yes, Masayume really is a beautiful song. Love it too. It has that Japanese melancholic mood that touches my heart deeply every time I listen to it.
Thanks for those audio clips. Also downloaded the entire event recording. I’m almost (?) sure that we have these events on DVD later this summer. Fingers crossed!

Miya’s vocal is very clear like crystal (omg, i don’t know how to say it). I’m really sure that no one in Berryz itself that can replace her vocal position in entire berryz’s songs.

Wow thanks so much! I’ve always wanted to hear Masayume live! Now I really hope there’ll be a DVD release. There’s some rap part in the song? It’s not in the original one is it?
I always thought my only hope to hear this song live would be Airi singing it in some of their early concert tours since they didn’t still have much of their own material and they did a lot of other H!P numbers but she never did … I would have preferred her singing it instead of “Sayonara no LOVE SONG”! And now it seems that they’ve already got too much of their own songs to do much other H!P songs anymore… So I’m HAPPY that Miya sang it in this fan club event!

@freedom4651: I completely agree with you. Berryz without Miyabi would be completely ruined for me. There isn’t anyone else in that group that could really hold my attention. I like Chinami, but she doesn’t get much coverage… And vocally, no one comes close IMO.
@Andra: I’m glad that I could get these songs to you.
This is definitely some remix of Masayume, and I love it! I’m hoping for some compilation DVD release of all these solo events that happened. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Aa! is one of my most favourite H!P shuffle groups of all time, and both the a- and b-side are amazing. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the song on Miya’s setlist, and when I found these audio recordings… Let’s just say I was ecstatic!
