In June of 2005, the lovely Miya was a mere 12 (almost 13) years old. At this point in time, I was fully immersed in my Morning Musume and Matsuura Aya fandoms, and really hadn’t given the H!P Kids much of a chance. At the time, I knew of three of Berryz Koubou’s singles - ‘Piriri to Yukou!’, ‘Special Generation’ and ‘Nanchuu Koi wo Yatteruu YOU KNOW?’, and while I didn’t mind them, I also didn’t pay much attention to them.

When the shuffle groups came out for that year, I wasn’t too impressed. Of the three groups, Sexy Otonajan, Puripuri Pink and Elegies, I was only interested in Elegies single, and that was the only one I listened to.

I knew that Miyabi was in Sexy Otonajan, and that she was one of the H!P kids who had been in Aa! (and I have to say that I loved both her and Airi in Aa! from the start), but when I saw the PV for ‘Onna, Kanashii, Otona’, I was completely turned off due to the fact that Miyabi and Megumi were so young and wearing these sensual outfits singing a pretty sensual sounding song. I was so against it that I never really “heard” the song, and just wrote it off.

However, now I have gone back and given the song a chance, and it really is quite a lovely song. It’s slow, probably not a song of choice for many H!P fans… But I personally love ballads, and the bossa nova genre is one that you don’t typically hear in an H!P release. The vocals are quite pleasing in this single. Miki has an amazing voice, it’s obvious that I pretty much love everything about Miya, and Megumi was definitely one of the up and coming H!P kids before she left H!P.

Anyway… There’s not enough Miya gushing in this post yet, so… Miya is just so pretty in this PV that I felt the need to spam you all with more Miya screencaps.

There’s one thing I want to note. Excluding the 2004 shuffle group, which wasn’t so much a shuffle as it was a conglomeration of all things H!P, Sexy Otonajan was the only shuffle group to feature any Hello! Project Kids. And seeing as the Shuffle Units were a pretty popular feature of the H!P year before they disappeared, I say being put into a shuffle group was pretty big props to these two kids back in the day. Miya is currently the only active H!P Kid who holds this distinction. GO MIYA!! Not even Risako or Airi, the current front girls of their respective groups can boast such an accomplishment. XD

A little side note: My most recent order from Yesasia (which has the LE of Kiss!Kiss!Kiss! and C-ute’s ‘Namida no Iro’ Single V) is also coming with the 2005 Shuffle Unit CD, so I’m gonna be a proud owner of the Sexy Otonajan single soon! ^_^

Oh dear me… Miya is stunning in this PV (IMO). I love the wavy hair. She doesn’t have her hair like that often enough.
