The radio rip for the first song from Morning Musume’s upcoming double A-side single, Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa wo Honki de Negatterun da yo! / Kare to Issho ni Omise ga Shitai, has been released. I have been waiting for this rip for weeks now. Since the concert rip wasn’t the best quality I’ve been waiting for the radio rip to finally hear the song.
You know, I wasn’t instantly in love with this song when I first started to listen to it. But half way through the song, it just made sense. And I actually do really like the song. It’s not my absolutely favorite, and there is an obvious room for improvement. But I think the song sounds good. The beginning of the song has this funky sort of disco vibe, with some jazz undertones. Risa’s and Ai’s jazzy extended notes during the bridge were just absolutely incredible, and one of my favorite parts of the song. However, I can’t really say that about Reina’s line there. And then the chorus hits and it sounds like a completely different song. The song gets a lot more upbeat and happy. And for a minute I thought it was Ganbare Nippon Soccer Fight. The chorus is just Ai and Reina but they pretty much kill their lines, so I don’t mind. And Reina also hits this high note toward the end of the song and it’s nearly flawless.
I really want to complain that the song’s line distribution is completely unfair, and it’s basically the exact same line distribution from Only You. But this is Ai-chan’s last single, so let her sing as much as you want. But, hopefully this single and 12th album will really be an end of an era. And Morning Musume can start fresh and give everyone a decent amount of lines like they used to. I mean when Morning Musume had 12-15 members the line distribution was a lot more fair than it is now! Can someone explain how that even makes sense?
By the way, what are they doing about the PV? Was it already filmed? Becasue Aika and Riho are both on rest now. And Aika has been in a cast for a while, so even if the PV was already filmed what are they going to do about the dance? Is Aika, or Aika and Riho, just not in the dance scenes?
We’ve been graced with another Dream Morning Musume song preview. No, it’s not the second original song, which would have made me beyond happy. This time it’s a repackaged old song. The previewed song this time is Sexy Boy.
I’m a little sad that they chose to preview Sexy Boy, mostly because it’s not really one of my favorite Morning Musume songs. I’d much rather hear new version of Daite Hold on Me, Aozora ga Itsumademo Tsuzuku You na Mirai de Are, or Renai Revolution 21. You know songs I never get tired of. I also really want to hear Mikan because nearly all of the girls weren’t in that song. And also, you know I’m a sucker for Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari, so I can’t wait to hear the Dream Morning Musume version.
Of course since this is basically a cover, the song sounds exactly the same. So, there’s not much to comment of music or song wise. Well, besides how weird it is to hear the “chimata de uwasa no sexy ue ue” parts sung so deeply. XD I’m a little sad by the line distribution. This song is pretty much the Yuko, Nacchi, and Mari show. Like half of the girls don’t even get a solo line. I’m hoping that’s because this is their song to lead, and not a glimpse of what the whole album will be like. I do wise that they weren’t the lead singers of this song because it sounds pretty weird sung with deeper voices then the original. Koharu, Rika, Miki, and Makoto should have lead this song. And Mari too because she sounded really amazing in this.
With their first album, DoriMusu1, being released shortly a radio rip of one of Dream Morning Musume’s songs has just been released. The song is entitled Atto Odoroku Mirai Gayattekuru, and is an original song from the new group. It is one of two orginal songs that will be released on their debut album.
Since the announcement of Dream Morning Musume I have been waiting for original songs. I wondered what they would sound like, who would sing when, and how they would measure up to actual Morning Musume’s current songs/singles. The song is not at all what I was expecting it to sound like. To be honest, I’m not exactly sure what I was expecting. Obviously a song that show cased the girl’s polished singing abilities. Music wise I think the song sounds a lot like a slightly toned down version of Aozora ga Itsumademo Tsuzuku You na Mirai de Are mixed with a slightly toned down version of Narihajimeta Koi no Bell. Which, is actually a really good mixture because I really love both songs. And Aozora ga Itsumademo Tsuzuku You na Mirai de Are is one of my all time favorite Morning Musume songs. I think the song sounds really nice. It’s extremely laid back and pleasant to listen to. It’s not really over the top. It’s sort of like the calmer songs Kaori and Yuko used to release. I was a little dissapointed by the vocals, for two reaons. The first reason is a majority of the song was sung all together. Since all the older members I really wanted to have a chance to hear them as much as possible. But I shouldn’t complain about that so early on. I’m sure each member will be featured a lot more throught the album. The second complaint I have about the vocals is the solo lines. Some of the best singers in Morning Musume are in trhis group but the solo lines were so soft, and not really all the impressive vocally. I think Yuko’s, Nacchi’s,Mari’s, Miki’s, and Yossie’s solos were the best out of all of them. I love Koharu to death but her solo didn’t sound all that great. The same goes for Rika. Rika kind of sounded like a frog in her solo, and Koha was doing that screechy thing she does. But that’s to be expected because they are part of the worst singers of Morning Musume. Other than that, the rest of the solos were good. They weren’t great, they were good. I just love how the song was divided perfectly so every member got their one little solo line.
Now I’m really looking forward to hearing their second original song. And of course the rest of the album.
Now, as all of you may know already I am insanely happy about the formation of Dream Morning Musume. I’m mostly excited because I get to see my beloved Koha perform again. Well, I got even more excited by Dream Morning Musume recently because a couple of days ago they revealed the track list for their upcoming album. The CD is two disk and is mostly a cover album of the top Morning Musume songs. Here’s the track list.
1. Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari (Dream Morning Musume Ve.r) 2. Morning Coffee (2011 Ver) 3. Roman ~My Dear Boy~ 4. Mikan 5. Aozora ga Itsumademo Tsuzuku You na Mirai de Are! 6. Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou? 7. SEXY BOY ~Soyokaze ni Yorisotte~ 8. Afternoon Coffee (Afternoon Musume) 9. New Song 10. New Song
1. Summer Night Town 2. Daite HOLD ON ME! 3. Memory Seishun no Hikari 4. LOVE Machine 5. Koi no Dance Site 6. Happy Summer Wedding 7. I WISH 8. Renai Revolution 21 9. The Peace! 10. Souda! WE’RE ALIVE
I am completely thrilled because they are singing a lot of my favorite Morning Musume songs, and my all time favorite Morning Musume song! Which is Aozora ga Itsumademo Tsuzuku You na Mirai de Are. But I am also super excited for Renai Revolution 21, Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari, Koi no Dance Site, Daite Hold on Me, Love Machine, Summer Night Town, I Wish, and Roman ~My Dear Boy~.
I know a lot of fans have mixed feelings about this group as a whole. How it lessens the current Momusu, and it is a step backwards for the members. But to me this group really is a dream. I can finally see all the member singing and dancing together again. Which is huge for me because I wasn’t a fan when most of these girls where in the group. However permanent or short lived this group is, or becomes, I am completely going to enjoy the ride while it happens!
The CD comes in 2 versions which you can buy from CDJapan by clicking the links below.
On the 13th anniversary of Morning Musume’s debut, Dream Morning Musume held a press conference. They announced they would be releasing an album and are extending their tour dates. The album is titled DoriMusu 1 (Which is obviously an abbreviation of Dream “Dorimu” and Morning Musume) and will be released on April 20th. The album will consist of covers of older Momusu songs but will also contain 2 new songs.I’ve never mentioned Dream Morning Musume on my blog before, so I’m going to explain what it is for people who don’t know. Dream Musume is a group consisting of all the Morning Musume graduates. Of course only the ones still affiliated with H!P. And except for Kamei Eri, JunJun, and LinLin. They obviously graduated too late to be a part of this. And with them graduating from H!P as well, I doubt they ever would be part of it anyway. The current line up is Nakazawa Yuko, Iida Kaori, Abe Natsumi, Yasuda Kei, Yaguchi Mari, Ishikawa Rika, Yoshizawa Hitomi, Ogawa Makoto, Fujimoto Miki, and Kusumi Koharu. You may notice Tsuji Nozomi and Konno Asami are not part of the lineup. That’s because Nono is busy taking care of her newborn son, and KonKon is busy being a TV Tokyo reporter.
I have to say that this is completely exciting news. It really seems like a dream to me. My absolutely favorite Morning Musume member, Kusumi Koharu, is back where I love her to be. Singing and dancing to Morning Musume songs. I’m also really happy that they are releasing an album. I thought their dream concert was going to be a one shot deal. Since M-Line has pretty much not done anything lately. This is a good indication of Dream Morning Musume’s future as a unit. Releasing an album with 2 new songs means they are testing the waters to be a legit group. And calling it DoriMusu 1, means that there is going to be a second album. If not it would probably just be called something like Dream Collection or something like that. It also seems like future graduates will be shuffled into the group, assuming they want to join. Kinda like the Elder Club never stopped. Well, at least not the Momusu part.
To me it really seems like the fans responded really well to Afternoon Musume and wanted something official. Either way I am completely thrilled and look forward to what Dream Morning Musume will be up to in the future.
